We are excited to announce the Clinical TMS Society will be offering a two-day PULSES course in London, UK on 5-6 July, 2019!


PULSES: An Introductory & Refresher Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Course for Psychiatric Conditions


This newly modified two (2) day training certificate course features current information delivered by Clinical TMS Society clinicians, engineers and researchers. This course is geared for new and experienced physicians and technicians in the field who seek a strong knowledge base; more hands-on exposure; and includes hands-on training with TMS partner devices.


Since its inception, the PULSES course has been expanded, modified, and improved upon.



In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and the Clinical TMS Society. Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (AAME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Credit Designation Statement - Amedco LLC designates this live activity for a maximum of 14.00 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.








International CME Accreditation

The American Medical Association has determined that physicians not licensed in the US who participate in this CME activity are eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. ACCME / AMA PRA Category 1 credits carry reciprocity with EACCME member countries and most international licensing bodies for physicians, with some exceptions. Physicians should check with their country/board for eligibility.


This program includes:

  • An Introduction to the Basic Principles of TMS;
  • Neuromodulation: Evolution of rTMS into Psychiatry: History and where rTMS fits;
  • Clinical Efficacy of rTMS for Depression;
  • Practical Administration of rTMS for Depressed patients;
  • Hands-on Device Training & questions with several TMS devices, education on the application of protocols with devices, and practical education with finding treatment location using methods discussed in lectures;
  • A post-test and assessments.

Attendees will also have the ability to participate in an interactive Q&A Panel with Pulses faculty. Those who pass the test are awarded a certificate of completion.

Road transport & Parking

The easiest option is to type in the postcode ‘WC2R 0BL’ into a route finder, which will direct you straight to IET London: Savoy Place.

There is limited parking outside of IET London: Savoy Place, behind the Embankment Gardens on metered bays.

Alternatively, there is an NCP car park just two minutes drive from the venue in Drury Lane, Covent Garden.

London Underground

Covent Garden | Piccadilly Line

Leave Covent Garden underground station and head south towards Covent Garden Piazza. Go through the Piazza and head down to The Strand via Southampton Street.

On reaching The Strand turn left and head eastwards, turning right into Savoy Street.

Head down to the bottom of Savoy Street and turn right at the bottom, directly into Savoy Place. We are the first venue on your right on the corner of the street.

Embankment | Northern, Bakerloo, Circle and District lines

Leave Embankment underground station via Embankment exit to the right.

Turn immediately left onto Victoria Embankment and follow the road along to the first left turn, before Waterloo Bridge, where you will find IET London: Savoy Place on the corner.

London Charing Cross | Northern and Bakerloo lines

Leave Charing Cross station via the main exit into The Strand, turning right outside the station and heading in an easterly direction until you reach Savoy Street on the right. If you reach Somerset House, you have gone too far.

Head down to the bottom of Savoy Street and turn right at the bottom, directly into Savoy Place. We are the first venue on your right on the corner of the street.

Temple | Circle and District lines

Leave Temple underground station, turning right and right again onto Victoria Embankment.

Head westwards, passing underneath Waterloo Bridge and crossing the road, where you will find IET London: Savoy Place immediately on your right as the first building in Savoy Place.

Westminster station | Jubilee, Circle and District lines

Walk along the Embankment, past Embankment Station and follow directions from there (above).

Waterloo Station | Jubilee and Northern lines

Walking across Waterloo Bridge and down the left-hand side steps down to street level. Cross the street and follow the directions above from Temple Station.

Liverpool Street station

Seven stops on the Circle Line to Embankment station, walk two minutes from the station to the venue through the Embankment Gardens.

Euston Station

Five stops on the Northern Line to Embankment station, walk two minutes from the station to the venue through the Embankment Gardens.

King's Cross station

Three stops on the Piccadilly line to Covent Garden and follow the instructions above from Covent Garden to IET London: Savoy Place.

Walking from The Strand

From The Savoy Hotel, head in an easterly direction until you reach Savoy Street on the right. Head down to the bottom of Savoy Street and turn right at bottom, directly into Savoy Place.

IET London: Savoy Place is the first venue on your right on the corner of the street.

 By bike

There is a docking station for Santander Cycles hire right outside IET London: Savoy Place on the Embankment for added convenience when cycling to or from an event with us.

By river boat

With a venue that sits right on the Thames, what better way to arrive than by water?

Combat peak travel and treat yourselves or your delegates to a more enjoyable journey to IET London: Savoy Place by boat. River bus services run every 20 minutes during peak hours. You can use your Oyster card and every customer is guaranteed a seat.

Alight at Embankment Pier for a very short walk up to the venue.


The main bus service for the Victoria Embankment is the 388, although there are many other available bus routeson The Strand and over Waterloo Bridge which will bring you within short walking distance of the venue.

From the airports


Gatwick express (30 min) to Victoria Station then three stops on the Circle or District line to Embankment Station.


Direct train to Covent Garden via the Piccadilly line, then follow directions from Covent Garden (above).


Stansted express to Liverpool Street station then seven stops on the Circle Line to Embankment station.
