CTMSS Committee Member Application

CTMSS committees are led by and comprised of member volunteers. Each committee performs designated activities to further the mission of CTMSS under the oversight of the Board of Directors. 

How to Join a Committe:

  • Must have a current CTMSS membership;
  • Review the CTMSS Conflict of Interest Policy and complete the disclosure statement;
  • Review and agree to the CTMSS Policies and procedures;
  • Complete the Non-Disclosure Agreement; and 
  • Complete the form below and upload a current CV or Bio.  

CTMSS Committees: 

Membership Committee:* The Membership Committee is responsible for promoting the value of membership in the Corporation and expanding the membership of the Corporation. The members of the Membership Committee need not be directors, however and at least one chair of the committee shall be a Director.

Outreach Committee:* The Outreach Committee serves as the communication liaison between the society, the members and the general public. The members of the Outreach Committee need not be directors, however, at least one chair of the committee shall be a director.

Clinical Standards Committee:* The Clinical Standards Committee works on creating and maintaining treatment guidelines for clinical practice. The members of the Clinical Standards Committee need not be directors, however, at least one chair of the committee shall be a director.

Research Committee:* The Research Committee works to review current and past applicable research in order to keep the society members informed of new research developments. The members of the Research Committee need not be directors, however, at least one chair of the committee shall be a director.

Insurance Committee:* The Insurance Committee develops strategies to expand insurance coverage for TMS services across the nation. The members of the Insurance Committee need not be directors, however, at least one chair of the committee shall be a director.

Legal, Business, & Ethics Committee:* The Legal, Business, & Ethics Committee manages all legal, business, and ethical issues related to the Corporation. The members of the Legal, Business, & Ethics Committee need not be directors, however, at least one chair of the committee shall be a director.

Annual Meeting Committee:* The Annual Meeting Committee plans and hosts the corporation’s Annual Meeting. The members of the Annual Meeting Committee need not be directors, however, at least one chair of the committee shall be a director. The President of the corporation, and other members of the Executive Committee may serve an advisory role on this committee.

Education Committee:* The Education Committee fulfills the mission of society by collaboration, planning and execution of education materials. Create opportunities for speaking, collaborating, education and training among committee members and board members. Appropriately acknowledging the contribution of each clinician and scientist participating and establish speaker policies and criteria with the board approval. The members of the Education Committee need not be directors, however, at least one chair of the committee shall be a director. 

*The chair and co-chair, if any, will be appointed by the Executive Committee and ratified by the Board of Directors for a two-year term.  A member of a committee shall serve until the next annual meeting of the Board or until his or her successor is appointed, unless the committee shall be sooner dissolved or unless he or she is removed from such committee by the Board or unless the individual ceases to qualify as a member of such committee. Members of any committee will be appointed or approved by the chair and/or co-chair of each committee.
