Jeffrey Turell grew up in Houston, attending college at Emory University. Dr. Turell graduated from Sackler School of Medicine's New York State/American Program in 2002. After family medicine internship, Dr. Turell developed an interest in public health and psychiatry, earning a Master's of Public Health from Case Western Reserve University in 2006. Dr. Turell trained in psychiatry at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland. While presenting at a conference in 2010, Dr. Turell was introduced to TMS. When practices and agencies he worked for did not offer TMS, Dr. Turell decided to open his own practice, Strive Mental Health and Wellness, and offer TMS from the start. Dr. Turell received training in TMS from Harvard Medical School in October 2018, adding a Magstim Horizon TMS machine to the office in December 2018, with capability to administer the 3-minute Theta Burst protocol for treatment of depression. Dr. Turell accepts Humana, Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare. Self-pay is always accepted. FSA and interest-free financing available. Dr. Turell is accepting new patients at his office in Shaker Heights, Ohio. On-site Residential TMS program is also available.
