Michelle Cochran, M.D., Professor
Dr. Cochran currently works as the medical director of the Nashville Center for Hope & Healing and the NeuroScience and TMS treatment centers; in addition she maintains a role as a private practice psychiatrist. She received her undergraduate degree at Centre College, her medical training at University of Louisville School of Medicine, and completed her postgraduate medical education at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Since 2011, Dr. Cochran has offered repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation to her patients as an option for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder. Dr. Cochran and her staff have trained extensively in the use of repetitive transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) including training at Berenson Allen’s Non-Invasive Brain Institute, Duke University and other specific advanced device trainings.
